Elder health care experts at Nyack Hospital say there are resources available to seniors facing crises.
Over the past two weeks, there have been two incidents in the Hudson Valley involving elderly husbands taking out their frustrations on their wives. On Wednesday, Paul Weinstein allegedly killed his ailing wife in New Rochelle. On Sept. 13, Richard Benson, of Newburgh, shot his wife and then himself. In both cases, investigators believe the husbands became alarmed by their spouses' medical problems.
Health care professionals say they rely on friends and family to inform them about seniors who may need assistance.
