Heavy rain and thunderstorms created travel delays Sunday for people returning home after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Rain and thunder made their way throughout the Hudson Valley, delaying flights for some travelers at the Westchester County Airport.

“My flight when I was flying here was delayed,” said Martha Soriano, a traveler who was headed to Florida. “I hope this flight will be nice and smooth.”

News 12’s Carol Wilkinson was at the Westchester County Airport and spoke to some flyers during the busy travel day.
