TODAY: STORM WATCH — Partly to mostly cloudy. Dry to start with a few light showers possible at any point after noon, but torrential scattered downpours and thunderstorms are possible during the evening. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for all of Long Island. The worst of the rain is expected after 3 p.m. or 4 p.m., lasting off and on through tonight. Still humid, but not as hot as earlier in the week with high temperatures around 84 degrees.
TONIGHT: STORM WATCH — Periods of moderate to heavy rain, tapering to lighter showers after midnight. Watch out for scattered areas of flooding. Lows near 63 degrees.
FRIDAY: DRYING OUT, FALL-LIKE FOR A DAY! Lingering rain showers in the morning with gradual improvements throughout the day. Scattered ponding of water lingering from this evening's rain is possible. More refreshing air slowly but surely moves in during the afternoon and evening along with breaks of afternoon and evening sun. Highs around 73 degrees with lowering humidity. Lows near 62 degrees.
SATURDAY: SUMMER PERFECTION — The first weekend of August looks amazing! Mostly sunny with low humidity and high temperatures around 80 degrees. Lows near 64 degrees.
SUNDAY: STILL GREAT — Mostly sunny with highs around 82 degrees. Lows near 66 degrees.
