Rep. Nita Lowey (D) hosted a health care reform forum in Ossining Wednesday, allowing members of the community to express their opinions on the hotly debated topic.
While the tone of the debate at the Ossining Rotary Club was civil, people remained divided on the government's role in the health care overhaul.
Lowey says she favors the single-payer plan, but she doubts it will be part of the final bill. She believes both the White House and Congress have failed to clearly communicate the issue to the public.
President Barack Obama is expected to deliver a major health care speech next Tuesday.
