A Middletown woman, Angelica Rodriguez, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for her involvement in a cocaine trafficking ring operating in and around the city of Middletown. Rodriguez pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy charges in Orange County Court, according to the District Attorney's office. Her arrest came after a two-year investigation known as "Operation Hidden in Plain Sight."
A Piermont man is facing child sex abuse charges in the village, has been arrested in New Jersey for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under 13 years old. John Mark Dillon has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, as confirmed by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Dillon was previously arrested last week on allegations in Piermont and is scheduled to appear in village court in April.
Two Yonkers men are facing charges for allegedly removing wheels from a parked car. Hastings police responded to a call on Saturday morning reporting that two masked men had removed wheels from a car in a commuter parking lot and fled the scene. Eric Harrison and Donte Quarles were apprehended, and police discovered four tires inside their van. Both men were arrested and released, with a scheduled appearance in village court next month. The tires were returned to the victim.
