Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Police say shots were fired at the Lake Street Apartment Complex in Newburgh on Tuesday. Neighbors tell News 12 they heard several shots ring out last night. There is no word yet if there were any injuries, on a motive, or if any arrests have been made.
A New Rochelle man has been indicted in his mother's murder. Daniel Flores Arteaga, 26, is accused of strangling his mother back in March inside her home on Second Street. His mother was placed on life support, but was later removed from it and pronounced dead. Her son is now charged with second-degree murder. He is due back in court Nov. 30.
Ramapo police say they have arrested a man for shooting random cars and storefronts with a pellet gun. Officials say they received multiple calls in the Village of Airmont from witnesses stating their windows had been shot out by a man driving in a red pick-up truck. Investigators eventually arrested a 22-year-old Suffern man. Police say 20 vehicles and two storefront windows were damaged. He is due in court later this month.
