A Middletown man is facing perjury charges after allegedly lying during grand jury testimony in connection to the shooting outside the You You restaurant in Wallkill in April. Authorities say Eric Rivera, 30, had been in the restaurant with Hector Luna and had witnessed the shooting. Police say Luna mistook the victim for a police officer. Rivera is next scheduled to appear in court on July 20 and faces up to two and two-thirds to seven years in state prison.
A 20-year-old Bronx man has been indicted for manslaughter for his role in a triple fatal crash on the Cross County Parkway. Yordany Bautista Hernandez is accused of driving 119 miles per hour before hitting a guard rail last September. All three passengers were killed.
A New Rochelle man has been arrested for a deadly home invasion in the Bronx. Marlon Gardner, 23, is facing a murder charge. Police continue to search for three others involved in the shooting.
