Headlines: Rockland home engulfed by flames, fire destroys Kingston car and garage, vandals ruin garden

A fire broke out at a home in Rockland County early Sunday morning. Fire officials received a call around 5 a.m. regarding a fire on Western Highway North in Blauvelt. Six departments, including the Orangetown police, responded to the scene. Authorities report that everyone in the home made it out safely.

A garage and car in Kingston were destroyed after a fire early Saturday morning. Crews arrived on East Chester Street to find the garage engulfed in flames. Off-duty personnel and mutual aid departments were called in, and it took just under two hours to extinguish the fire.

Two people were caught on camera allegedly vandalizing a homeowner's garden in Edgemont. The homeowner reports that their garden has been vandalized four times in the past four weeks. Security footage shows the individuals stomping and kicking the plants. If you recognize these individuals or have any information, please contact police at (914) 989-1700.
