Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A man allegedly involved in a Newburgh shooting now faces charges. Police say Anthony Nash, 34, tried to break into a home on Montgomery Street early Saturday morning. When a woman inside fought back, they say he shot her in the arm. K9 officers were able to track him down. Officials say the shooting a domestic incident. Nash faces assault and burglary charges.
Police say a driver was traveling at high speed when he lost control colliding with a large boulder on Kanawauke Road in Tuxedo Sunday night. Police say victims were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, but there is no word on how many people were in the car or the severity of their injuries.
Police made a major drug bust in a Mount Vernon apartment. Officers confiscated about 25,000 fentanyl pills and 38 kilos of heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl. A New Jersey man is charged in connection. Linked to the drug operation, police also seized $35,000 in cash from a Yonkers home.
