Beacon police arrested a murder suspect during a traffic stop on Fishkill Avenue Tuesday. Naije Perrette, of Beacon, is accused of fatally shooting Lionell Pittman at an affordable housing complex near South Avenue Park two years ago. Perrette is charged with second-degree murder and was sent to the Dutchess County Jail.
A Bronx man is in custody in Westchester County following his arrest for theft. Mamaroneck police received reports of someone entering a home and stealing a bicycle on South Barry Avenue. Police arrested Yaser Garcia-Ramirez shortly after and recovered the bike. Police say Garcia-Ramirez was found with a driver's license, numerous checks, a debit card, and a vehicle stolen from Newark, New Jersey, earlier that day. He faces multiple charges including burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. He is being held in the county jail without bail.
Two Newburgh men are in custody on drug and weapons charges. New York State Police stopped a car in violation of state laws on South Street in Newburgh. Troopers found LSD, cannabis, a loaded ghost gun, and ammunition. The driver, 19-year-old Adem Al-Bino, and the passenger, 20-year-old Yael Garcia, were taken into custody.
