Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
State police say they arrested a man accused of having 36 pounds of marijuana stashed in his vehicle. Brooklyn's Eric Huang was pulled over by state troopers on the Taconic State Parkway for traffic and vehicle violations on Dec. 22. Troopers say Huang was intoxicated during the stop.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office says two men are facing charges for trafficking drugs in the town of New Windsor and areas nearby. Authorities say Steven Gordon and John Maines were arrested after a 10-month investigation by local, state and federal officials. Investigators searched a home in New Windsor and found two loaded handguns, an assault-style rifle, crack cocaine, fentanyl and $20,000. Gordon was remanded to Orange County Jail without bail. Maines is being held in Orange County Jail on $5,000 bond, according to online records.
The Woodbury fire chief tells News 12 that fire that broke out near the Woodbury Park and Ride on Wednesday. He says insulation in the roof of a building caught fire during construction.  The flames were brought under control in about an hour.
