Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Harrison man is facing charges for slashing a man's hand in Mamaroneck.Police received a report of a stabbing at a bar on Halstead Avenue around 9 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a slash wound on his hand. The victim informed police that Gregory DiFalco was responsible for the injury. Approximately an hour later, DiFalco turned himself into authorities.
Poughkeepsie police are investigating a shots fired incident in the area of Main Street and Church Street. Multiple shell casings were recovered, but no victims were found. Additionally, two nearby buildings were struck by gunfire. The investigation is ongoing.
A coyote was caught on camera fleeing a property near High Street in Yonkers. While encounters with coyotes in urban and suburban areas are rare, the Humane Society advises caution.
