Here are some stores making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A person has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that left a North Castle man with serious injuries. The incident occurred on Tuesday night on Old Mount Kisco Road, where the 65-year-old victim was struck. He was subsequently taken to Westchester Medical Center. Zhi Ping Zhang has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence. Zhang is scheduled to appear in town court on March 26.
Another pedestrian is recovering after being hit, this time in Yonkers. According to police, a 65-year-old man was struck while crossing the road in the area of Central Park Avenue and Clark Street. The victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Elpidio Aguilar-Flores, a resident of West Haverstraw, has been arrested for sexual abuse. Police have arraigned Aguilar-Flores, but details about the case have not been disclosed at this time. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the police at (845) 344-5300.
