Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley today.
The Woodbury Fire Department responded to an injured hiker at Harriman State Park on Christmas Eve. The hiker, found about a mile and a half into the woods, suffered a broken leg and jaw. They were airlifted out and are currently recovering from the injuries.
A driver is recovering following a single-car accident in Greenburgh. The incident occurred on Saw Mill River Road, near the Route 119 junction, where the car veered off the road and collided with a utility pole. The driver was taken to Westchester Medical Center, and details about their condition are yet to be disclosed. The authorities are investigating the accident.
Eight individuals are receiving aid after a fire erupted early Sunday morning on Leonard Avenue in Newburgh. The Red Cross is extending support to people from two households affected by the fire.
