Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A White Plains man is facing multiple felony charges after he was found in possession of several ghost guns. Using a search warrant, Westchester police discovered a revolver, four unfinished frames without serial numbers, and a 3D printer that was being used to make the ghost guns. Robert Hennes III was arraigned in White Plains City Court and remanded to the county jail without bail.
A Newburgh man convicted in a burglary case has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, according to the Orange County District Attorney. Angel Lahoz broke into a home in January of 2023 and used a machete to threaten a woman inside. The DA says Lahoz will also be under supervision for five years after his prison term is up.
An injured hiker is recovering this morning after being rescued in Hartsdale. It happened on Saturday in the Hart's Brook Park trails. Police say she was found on the Orange Trail a quarter-mile into the woods. They say she couldn't walk and had to be removed from the trail using a special vehicle. She was then taken to the hospital.
