Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
State police are now investigating a fatal accident this morning in New Windsor. Troopers say the driver of a box truck was killed just after 5 a.m. on I-87 north between exits 16 and 17. He was the only person in the vehicle. No other information has been released.
A Mount Vernon gang leader will serve 20 years to life behind bars. Jason Garcia, 37 was found guilty of a shooting outside of Mount Vernon's Garden Bar back in 2016. He was found guilty of attempted murder and other charges in January following a jury trial.
A New City has pleaded guilty in a Haverstraw murder case. Back in February, Gerard O'Sullivan, 61, shot his boss Noe Hamer after he was told that he was being fired. The incident happened in the parking lot of T.J. McGowan's Funeral Home. O'Sullivan will be sentenced in February.
A 62-year-old man is facing charges after a crash in Saugerties. Police say last Friday, Martin Cody was traveling north on Route 32-A when he missed a turn in the road and crashed into a tree. Cody is charged with driving drunk among other charges. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in court next month.
