State police have identified Kurt Perez as the victim in a fatal one-car crash on the Taconic Parkway. They say Perez's 2018 Ford Explorer lost control in Yorktown around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle then left the roadway and hit a tree. Troopers believe wet conditions in the southbound lanes played a part in the accident.

The search is on this morning for suspects after shots were fired in two separate shootings in Poughkeepsie. The most recent happened early Sunday morning near Du Bois Avenue. Prior to that, another shooting was reported Friday evening near Worrall Avenue and Mack Road. No other information has been released and it is not known if the incidents are connected.
