A woman is dead and a man seriously injured after a shooting in the village of Monticello. Police found two victims with gunshot wounds in a car at the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex. The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the man remains in serious condition. The victims' identities are not being released at this time. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
Three people have been arrested for allegedly crashing a stolen car on the Cross County Parkway in Yonkers. County police attempted to stop the car on the Hutchinson River Parkway for improper plates. The car fled onto the Cross County Parkway, exited at Yonkers Avenue Westbound, then reentered the parkway Eastbound, crashing into two other cars. Police report that the injuries were minor.
City of Rye police are warning residents to lock their vehicles. Early Tuesday morning, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle near the Milton Point area in New City.
