Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.

A Yonkers man, William Pryor, has been convicted in the deadly shooting of his roommate, Marquis Muniz. The incident occurred in March 2022 in a third-floor apartment at 284 Riverdale Ave. Pryor is facing a potential sentence of 25 years to life and is set to be sentenced in December.

A Yorktown family is now without a home following a fire on Pine Street in the Croton Park Colony Complex in Mohegan. The Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department worked tirelessly for nearly two and a half hours to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Moments after responding to the house fire, the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a car crash on Baptist Road in Yorktown. On arrival, they discovered a person trapped underneath a car. Unfortunately, there was a fatality in the rollover crash. The identity of the deceased is pending confirmation, and the circumstances leading to the crash are under investigation.
