A man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a 2019 cold case, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office. Dijion Constantine, 23, admitted to killing Sebastian Avilan-Medina, who was shot to death in his home on Knapp Avenue in March 2019. Constantine was arrested in April 2022. He will be sentenced in September.
A weekend crash on Route 9 involving a Prius and a Jeep sent three people to the hospital, according to police. The incident occurred when the Prius was turning into the Holiday Inn Express. Two passengers in the Prius suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the Jeep was also injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and the current conditions of the individuals involved.
