Raequan Keemer, previously convicted of selling cocaine in June 2023, is back behind bars after being caught dealing drugs once more. Initially, Keemer was sentenced to complete the "New York State Diversion Program" or serve 12 years in state prison. However, after enrolling in the program, he resumed selling drugs. Currently, Keemer is in jail without bail and faces additional prison time for drug sale and possession charges.
Haverstraw police are searching for an individual who may be linked to a burglary. Investigators are seeking to identify the person captured in a video throwing around a football. If you have any information, please call detectives at 845-942-3730.
Two former executives at a White Plains-based health care consulting company are bound for prison due to a yearslong fraud scheme. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Shawn Rains of France was convicted of charges including mail fraud and money laundering, receiving a 12-year prison sentence. Joseph Maharaj of Goldens Bridge pleaded guilty to mail fraud conspiracy and received a sentence of 7.5 years. Both individuals are required to pay $4 million in restitution each.
