A Bronx woman is set to face a judge for allegedly setting fire to the Village at Merritt Park Townhouses in Fishkill in April. Police say Inez Feliciano set fire to seven back porches at the apartment complex that spanned three different buildings. Emergency aid was required for 43 people at the time, but nobody was hurt. Feliciano is facing four arson charges.
Police are searching for a woman in connection to a homicide that happened in the Bronx. Police responded to a report of multiple people shot outside of a gas station on Sept. 24. Mount Vernon resident Corey Allen, 28, was killed during the shooting. Anyone with information should call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
An 18-year-old accused in a fatal stabbing at Arlington High School is set to appear in court on Oct. 5. Nest Ortiz-Ocampo faces a manslaughter charge for allegedly stabbing 16-year-old Quraan Smith after a football game. A candlelight vigil for Smith will be held on Sunday in Poughkeepsie.
