People flocked to Haverstraw to celebrate World Pride Month Sunday.
The event featured a drag queen story hour, arts and crafts and a variety of food options.
People sported their pride colors and one vendor sold cookies full of color.
One woman told News 12 she came to support her two daughters.
"We are so proud of the gay community and we're loving what Haverstraw is doing to recognize our lesbian community," she said.
People who came out say the festival gives them a chance to live without restrictions.
