As home to the "Headless Horseman," very few places are as synonymous with Halloween as the Hudson Valley.
There are numerous attractions where people can get a good scare this year. The Mayhem Haunted House in Monroe and the Pure Terror Scream Park in Scarsdale are just two places scaring the wits out of visitors this season.
Pure Terror Scream Park features more than two miles of horror and five haunted houses to choose from.
Owners of the Mayhem Haunted House say that they have plenty ghouls and goblins for a guaranteed scary, but safe, environment. "We have clowns that have overtaken a nursery, we still have some zombies, we have a toxic hallway filled with burn victims, a few other things I don't want to give away. There's a good mix of things there that will make you jump," says Joseph Delfino.
