A boy from Hastings-on-Hudson is collecting hockey equipment to donate to sports clubs in honor of his aunt.
Brian Jaegar is an avid hockey player and knows the most important piece of equipment a player needs is a hockey stick.

He's collected 588 hockey sticks from all over the Greenburgh area to donate to local sports clubs through his organization, Stick Up to Cancer.
It's all in honor of his Aunt Marla, who died from kidney cancer three years ago.

For every stick he collects, Jaegar’s parents have agreed to donate $5 to the Edgemont School Foundation, a fund created after Marla's passing.
She had been a teacher at Greenville Elementary School for over 20 years.
