A safer walk is coming to some Greenburgh residents.
State and local leaders gathered at the Hartsdale Fire department Thursday afternoon to announce nearly $180 million of funding for transportation and climate projects across New York.
This includes sidewalks in Hartsdale on one of its busiest streets - West Hartsdale Avenue.
The sidewalks will run from the intersection with Central Park avenue to the intersection with Dobbs Ferry Road - something local residents see as great news.
This marks the biggest pedestrian initiative in the town's history.
