School officials in Harrison have taken action against the 33 students busted by police at an underage drinking party last week.
The Harrison High School students have been suspended from after-school activities for one week for their suspected involvement at the party. Police say a teenage girl invited the teens to her home at 88 Pleasant Ridge Road while her parents were away. When police arrived on the scene, they say they found beer and hard liquor. Twenty-six teens were arrested and issued appearance tickets for unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages. Six other teens under the age of 15 were taken home to their parents and issued youth cards.
In addition to the suspensions, school officials sent home letters to parents recommending the teens see a school substance abuse expert.
