Italian pride was on full display today as Harrison celebrated its annual Columbus Day Parade.
Proud residents lined the streets eager for a sea of colors and entertainment.
Bag pipes, marching bands, and high kicks lit up Halstead Avenue for the town's parade.
People attending the festivities tell News 12 that organizers made sure there was something for all ages and nationalities.
"All of these people have differences...and all can be part of this nation," says Vita Onwuasoany, who joined both her sons for the walk.
There was also a daylong festival in Riis Park on Heineman Place.
