Harrison families still picking up the pieces from Ida

Volunteers in Harrison came together to help their community devastated by the remnants of Ida.
Residents felt they were not getting the help they needed.
Volunteers are getting the names of those who have damaged homes and recruiting more volunteers.
They partnered with the Fuller Center to help people rebuild.
Betty Sacco is one of the volunteers.
“Every belonging; every memory that was ever stored in their basement or their den was gone. There was nothing they could do,” she says.
Local businesses are offering to help as well.
The Harrison Pizza and Pasta restaurant is donating 20 percent of purchases to the Fuller Center.
Work in the area could take months, but residents are ready to do whatever it takes to rebuild.
