The top Halloween costumes for 2024 are out, and they're inspired by popular culture icons, classic storybook tales and top comic characters.

Google Trends ranks Beetlejuice among the top searches following the release of the movie sequel this month. You can also expect to see a lot of good and bad witches from the upcoming movie "Wicked." Breakdancer Raygun, who became a viral sensation after performing at the Olympics, is another top search for costume ideas.

Superheroes, classic horror characters, Disney, anime and family-friendly options are also popular this year. Deadpool, Wolverine, Harley Quinn, Art the Clown from "Terrifier," Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger are fan favorites.

Family and group costumes inspired by "Ghostbusters," "Star Wars," "The Avengers," "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Wizard of Oz" are also expected to be a hit.
