Gunshots pierced two windows of a Morrisania building that houses a community center, according to the NYPD.
Authorities say the gunman recklessly opened fire near 1088 Washington Ave. just after 2 p.m. Friday.
Bullets flew across the street, striking two windows of a building at 1085 Washington Ave., where the DreamYard Project community center occupies the building's first floor.
The gunfire also damaged a parked car. Nobody was inside the vehicle, according to police.
The NYPD says the man took off running after the shooting. No one was injured.
Police released images of the alleged gunman on Saturday. He is pictured wearing a gray zip-up hoodie, black shorts and black sneakers.
