Gunfire erupts in New Rochelle with shell casings found at scene

Gunfire was reported late Saturday night in New Rochelle after shots rang out in a residential area.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 50 block of Colonel Lee Archer Boulevard.

Witnesses told police they saw multiple shooters in the area.

Officers who responded to the scene found shell casings, police said.

Authorities believe no one was hurt.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact headquarters at (914) 654-2300.
