A group of devout Catholics called Voice of the Faithful is urging the pope to meet with victims of pedophile priests and get rid of bishops who tolerated abuse during his visit to the area next week.

The group took out a full page ad in the New York Times asking Pope Benedict XVI to help confront what it calls a "moral crisis." The national organization wants the pontiff and church leaders to listen to those who were sexually abused by priests. They also want bishops who reassigned abusers to other churches to be held responsible.

There are reports that the pope will address the controversial topic and try to heal the damage done when he visits St. Patrick?s Cathedral in Manhattan and St. Joseph?s Seminary in Yonkers.

The Voice of the Faithful is not only asking for moral accountability, they are also calling for financial disclosures from every parish and every diocese.

The Voice of the Faithful has raised more than $60,000 to cover the cost of the ad and Internet banners that will be up for 10 days during the pope's visit.
