Could we see another toilet paper shortage in the Hudson Valley?
Local grocery stores say
they will be ready this time - if and when a second COVID-19
wave arrives.
As COVID-19 cases tick upward again, several grocery chains across the
country are stockpiling products that sold out in early
spring.
Some grocery stores say
keeping a step ahead of inventory orders for fall and winter months is key.
“We do book trailers and
full containers of stuff ahead of time so we don't run
into the same problem that we had when this whole thing started in the
beginning,” says grocer Angelo Paravalos.
A recent poll showed more than half of Americans say they already have
or plan to stockpile food items, paper and cleaning supplies in preparation of
a possible second wave of COVID-19.
