Greenburgh's multipurpose center renamed to honor Gerard J. Byrne

The facility will be known as the Gerard J. Byrne Center, in honor of Gerry Byrne, who served as Commissioner of Greenburgh's Parks and Recreation for over three decades.

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved renaming the multipurpose center at Anthony F. Veteran Park in Ardsley.
The facility will be known as the Gerard J. Byrne Center, in honor of Gerry Byrne, who served as Commissioner of Greenburgh's Parks and Recreation for over three decades.
Byrne, who retired after a 44-year career, left an enduring legacy in the community.
