Greenburgh residents are fed up with what they describe as years of poor mail-delivery service, leading some to question the point of their local post office.
"They're putting my neighbor's mail in my box," says Janet Reese. "I've been in my house 52 years. It's the worst."
Other residents complain that they never receive mail or the mail that is delivered is sometimes for the wrong town.
Dealing with the post office in the hamlet of Hartsdale is a "nightmare," according to one patron. She says there are often only two people behind the counter.
Town Supervisor Paul Feiner plans to raise his constituents' concerns during a meeting with an official from the U.S. Postal Service. "I have had hundreds and hundreds of people who have emailed me and called me over the years," he says. "If we can't depend on the Postal Service for accurate mail, why have a Postal Service?"
News 12 contacted the postmaster, but the postmaster wasn't allowed to comment.
