A family was left homeless for the holidays after a fire ripped through a Greenburgh house Tuesday.
The homeowners watched in horror as 55 firefighters from eight departments battled the fire at their Seely Place home. Officials say six firefighters were sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The Greenville Fire Department captain was also taken to the hospital because of a leg injury. Fire officials say workmen were on the roof of the home when the fire broke out.
The family of four was uninjured, but now have to find a place to stay. Fire officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
