A Greenburgh police officer at the center of the dominatrix sex scandal has been charged with official misconduct, a misdemeanor, by the Westchester District Attorney?s office Thursday.
Police Officer Erik Ward is accused of having a sexual encounter with Gina Annenoel Pane, a former professional dominatrix, in exchange for dropping the charges against her. Pane?s lawyers claim their client was harassed from the moment Greenburgh police officers found out about her former profession after her arrest for drug possession and DWI on January 21. Pane?s arrest and what occurred at the police station after was caught on videotape.
Ward has been suspended without pay during the investigation by the DA?s office. The DWI charges against Pane have been dropped.
