Residents and business owners in Greenburgh say snowplows are blocking more than just driveways and cars after recent storms.

Several business owners report that large mounds of snow left behind are making it difficult for customers to see their storefronts and access parking.

Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said the state should take responsibility for clearing snow piles once roads are plowed.

“I feel that the New York state has a responsibility,” Feiner said. “If they create a mound, after a day or two to clear it up, because this could be the end of a business.”

Brian Angarola, owner of Urban Central, said the snow is affecting multiple businesses in the area.

“It’s affecting my restaurant and also the neighboring businesses as well,” Angarola said. “You can barely even see the building. The snow was piled up all the way on the street, blocking all the parking.”
