This is the 10th year that the event is taking place. A glowing birthday cake as well as a lifesize headless horseman are new additions.
More than 110,000 visitors are expected this year at the Blaze, which runs until Nov. 16.
Event organizer Rob Schweiter says ideas for next year are already in the works.
