More opportunities for kids are coming to Orange County with more than $1 million going towards closing achievement gaps.

Leg. Sean Patrick Maloney announced Thursday a grant for Head Start of Eastern Orange County.

The Newburgh center focuses on school readiness skills for young kids from low-income families. It provides educational assistance to more than 300 children across the Hudson Valley.
