Dozens of grandmothers gathered at Market Square in Ossining this weekend to call for the release of hostages held by Hamas and the allowance of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Organizers, a diverse group of different religions, mostly grandparents, express sadness for the suffering on both sides.

"We are not taking any political side, even though we might have some of our own. We are really peace, life is valuable, and we just don't want any more loss of life," says Patricia Richards, of Ossining.

The group also urges Rep. Mike Lawler (R-17) to call for a complete ceasefire. In a statement, Congressman Lawler wrote in part, "A ceasefire can't happen until Hamas is eliminated."
