A group of volunteers is trying to combat the growing problem of graffiti in Westchester County.
The Westchester Parks Foundation was at the Bronx River Parkway in White Plains this morning to announce that its volunteer group, 'The Graffiti Squad,' is kicking off its second season of cleaning up Westchester parks.
County officials also asking the public to get involved as they crack down on vandals defacing public property. "If you see something like this and you see someone doing it, take a picture on your iPhone and let us know; we want to make the people pay who are doing this and have them clean up," says Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.
A pickup truck was donated to the Graffiti Squad by Thalle Industries of Briarcliff Manor. The company will also be sponsoring the group in its cleanup efforts.
