Whether it's considered vandalism or art, graffiti is one of the many things that has had an impact on the borough's 100-year history. 

News 12 is taking an in-depth look at the evolution of graffiti as part of the Bronx's centennial this month, which coincides with "Bronx Week." 

Spray-painted tags started out in the subway yards, but today they're perceived as an art form and even a career for many. 

The local group "Tats Cru" is an example of how graffiti has changed. The artists started out tagging walls and subway cars as kids, but their artistic talents have since taken them all over the world to paint murals with their spray cans.
