Federal help could be on the way to Hudson Valley residents.
Gov. Kathy Hochul has petitioned President Joe Biden for a major disaster declaration, aiming to secure federal funding for individuals affected by the two-day flooding in September.
If approved, the allocated funds would assist Westchester County in addressing debris removal and repairing public buildings and infrastructure damaged during the flooding.
