Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced a $5 million funding initiative aimed at bolstering animal shelters across the state.
This marks the sixth round of funding allocated to the "Companion Animal Capital Fund," which stands as the inaugural state-funded program in the nation dedicated to shelter improvement projects.
