New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine's May issue for his work in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Cuomo has emerged as an unlikely source of comfort in these supremely unsettling times," the 4,963-word feature story reads.
The article notes that Cuomo's ability to relay data and scientific opinion during his daily press conferences has given him the ability to display human empathy, which New Yorkers and Americans find "disproportionately soothing."
The May 2020 issue of Rolling Stone will be available on newsstands May 5, but is already accessible on Rolling Stone's website for free.
