Officials in Goshen are warning residents to stay off of the roads during the winter storm.
As News 12's Nikita Ramos drove to Goshen from Yonkers Sunday, she says she passed about four car crashes.
The snow and cold temperatures made for icy roads, which can lead to crashes.
Alan Mack, of the Orange County Emergency Services, says the icy conditions came on faster than expected.
Mack was planning on coming in later in the night Sunday, but because of the conditions and the crashes, workers were called in earlier.
He also encouraged residents to keep an eye out for school closings.
