A Goshen man was killed in a snowmobile accident and another was found alive with hypothermia Monday evening.
Police say they responded to a report of an accident at 5:43 p.m. near Reservoir Road at the Goshen Reservoir.
Fire officials say two people tried to ride across Goshen Reservoir when the ice gave way and they fell in.
Richard Stetson, 55, of Goshen, was rescued from the water and brought to the hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
Goshen rescuers say 56-year-old Arne Jensen was found submerged in the frigid waters during the blizzard-like conditions.
The Goshen Fire Department Cold Water Rescue Team recovered Jensen from the reservoir and began resuscitative efforts, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
