General Motors dealerships across Westchester and the Hudson Valley are waiting to learn their fate from the struggling automaker.The company will tell 1,100 of its dealerships Friday that their franchise agreements won't be renewed. Dealers are expected to hear either by telephone or FedEx letters if they will be closed.General Motors has said it is looking to close 2,600 dealerships by the end of 2010.GM spokeswoman Susan Garontakos said the company will not makepublic a list of dealers to be cut, leaving the decision to releaseinformation to individual business owners.On Thursday, Chrysler announced it would be closing 789 of its dealerships across country.AP wire services contributed to this report
